Lilianna Stawarz
Graduated with distinction from the harpsichord class of Władyslaw Kłosiewicz , at the Warsaw Academy of Music in 1988. Two years later she was awarded a diploma from the Conservatoire National de Region de Rueil-Malmaison in Huguette Dreyfus`class.
She is a laureate of the Wanda Landowska First Polish Harpsichord Competition in Krakow
/II prize/ and of the Polish Piano Playing Festival in Słupsk, as well as a finalist of the International Harpsichord Competition in Paris.
She has taken part in numerous master courses devoted to the interpretative problems of Baroque music.
She has cooperated with the polish baroque group “IL TEMPO” since 1991.
The ensemble specializes in instrumental and vocal-instrumental music from early Baroque to the Classical period. It collaborates with Polish and foreign musicians performing early music on period instruments according to authentic performance practice.
IL TEMPO has performed extensively in Europe, the United States and Canada/ including prestigious festivals such as the Festival von Vlaanderen Brugge and Europalia 2001/.
It has to its credit numerous CDs and live radio/ via the European Broadcasting Union/ and TV broadcasts.
Lilianna Stawarz has cooperated with the Warsaw Chamber Opera playing harpsichord and performs as musical director- directing from the harpsichord- J.S.Bach`s St Mark Passion,
H.Purcell`s Dido and Aeneas, D.Scarlatti`s Tetyda on Scyros/CD/, G.Handel`s Rinaldo/as a assistant/, cycle of the concerts Marcin Mielczewski`s Opera Omnia/6CD/,
Damian Stachowicz`s Opera Omnia/CD/, Michal Zebrowski`s Vesperes.
She has also worked with J.C.Malgoire preparing the performances of operas Alceste by J.B.Lully, Tancred by A.Campra, Catone in Utica by A.Vivaldi and Il ritorno d` Ulisse in patria by C.Monteverdi. She recorded two solo CD- 2003- with C. P. E. Bach and 2006- with 8 great suits of G. F. Haendel.
Since 1993 she has taught at the summer courses of the International Academy of Early Music in Wilanow/ Poland/, and since 2003 she has the own class of harpsichord in Warsaw University of Music/ faculty in Bialystok/.
