Sebastian Wypych 

Born in 1977 in Warsaw, Poland. In 1996 he completed his education with award in the class of double bass at the Karol Szymanowski State School of Music.

The same year, he won 1st prize at the Nationwide Cello and Double Bass Classes Auditions in Elbląg and took 1st place as well as received all additional awards at the 4th A. B. Ciechański Nationwide Double Bass Players Competition in Poznań in November 1997. That year also saw Sebastian Wypych as the finalist of the 11th Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition.

He is the graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin Warsaw Academy of Music, Professor Andrzej Mysinski class of double bass.

As a chamber musician he cooperates with numerous ensembles and orchestras in Poland and abroad, including Jan Stanienda's "Wratislavia" Chamber Orchestra, Andrzej Mysiński's "Concerto Avenna", "Sinfonia Varsovia", "Sinfonietta Cracovia", James Levine's UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra, or UBS Verbier Chamber Orchestra.

Wypych also cooperates with outstanding soloists including Krzysztof Jakowicz, Wladyslaw Klosiewicz, Tytus Wojnowicz, Maxim Vengerov.

He is the founder of "Kameleon" ensembles where he cooperates with numerous leading Polish actors and theatres, as well as TANGATA QUINTET, focused on tango, especially compositions by Astor Piazzolla.

Wypych experiments in the field of music, mixing classical, electronica and jazz as well as several other musical genres.
